Booking Terms & Conditions

At Scotty’s Travel Ltd, we pride ourselves on offering memorable, bespoke travel experiences with transparency, security, and dedicated support throughout your journey. These Terms & Conditions are designed to help you book with confidence and clarity. in some cases we are also obligated to the partner companies policies and procedures so please bare in mind these terms may change depending on the provider, this is usually for multi country tours and is agreed before booking confirmation.

1. Financial Protection

While we are not currently ATOL-licensed, Scotty’s Travel Ltd is a fully registered UK limited company and holds comprehensive travel insurance to protect you against unforeseen circumstances. We are actively working towards obtaining an ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) for future bookings that include flights.

What This Means for You:

  • All holidays booked through us are managed through reputable and financially secure suppliers.

  • We only work with ATOL-protected flight providers or bonded tour operators where applicable.

  • You will be informed in writing about the level of protection included in your package at the time of booking.

  • In the event of insolvency of a third-party supplier, we will assist with claims through their bonding or insurance scheme and work to minimize disruption.

Please don’t hesitate to ask us about the specific financial protections associated with your trip.

2. Deposits & Final Payments

To secure your itinerary, a non-refundable deposit may be required upon booking. This enables us to confirm arrangements with our trusted partners worldwide.

Payment Schedule:

  • Full payment is due no later than 1 calendar month before departure unless otherwise stated.

  • For bookings made within 1 month of travel, full payment is required immediately.

We accept payment via bank transfer or major credit/debit cards. A detailed invoice and confirmation will be issued after payment.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change. Because we work closely with international suppliers, cancellation terms vary based on provider policies.

If You Cancel Your Trip:

  • More than 1 month before departure: Deposit will be retained. Up to 70% of the balance may be refunded, subject to supplier policies.

  • Within 1 month of departure: Most services will be non-refundable due to supplier commitments. Refunds will only be made in writing or under exceptional circumstances.

If We Cancel Your Trip:

  • If cancellation is necessary due to safety concerns, supplier failure, or other unforeseen events, we will offer a full refund or an alternative of equal or greater value.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to initiate the process.

4. Changes & Amendments

Flexibility is important when planning a bespoke trip. If you need to make changes to your itinerary, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Customer-Requested Changes:

  • Requests must be made in writing.

  • Changes may incur an administration fee and additional supplier charges.

Changes Initiated by Scotty’s Travel Ltd:

  • In rare cases such as flight schedule changes or hotel unavailability, we will:

    • Notify you as early as possible.

    • Offer an equivalent or upgraded alternative.

    • Never substitute key experiences without your approval.

5. Complaints & Customer Satisfaction

We personally vet our suppliers and aim for exceptional service at every stage. If something isn’t right, we want to hear from you.

During Your Trip:

  • Contact us or your local representative immediately so we can resolve the issue on the spot.

Post-Trip Complaints:

  • Submit formal complaints to Management@scottystravel.com within 7 days of your return.

  • We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 14 working days.

6. 24/7 Emergency Assistance

Your peace of mind is our priority. Scotty’s Travel Ltd offers 24/7 support to assist with urgent travel issues.

Our Emergency Services Include:

  • A 24/7 contact number provided in your travel documents.

  • Help with missed connections, lost documents, or travel disruptions.

  • Support with emergency repatriation when necessary.
